Knockout (Elimination) : is a type of elimination tournament where the loser of each bracket is immediately eliminated from winning the championship or first prize in the event.

Rounds (Round robin) : is competition "in which each contestant meets all other contestants in turn". It contrasts with an elimination tournament.

Two Stages : is a combination of Round-robin and Elimination.

Swiss System : similar to round robin but the number of rounds is less. It means one competitor does not meet all others but only some based on the number of rounds. It's very common for Chess tournaments.
